It’s been an eventful week at Primavera, to say the very least. Not only did we launch our completely redesigned Parent Student Portal for both our middle school and high school students, but we continue to make progress on the Primavera Blended Learning Center, as we draw one week closer to its grand opening later this summer.
Chasse Construction continues to make excellent progress trenching and laying the foundation for the center. This week they were able to dig the footers for the mezzanine level and we’re hopeful to fill them in sometime late next week.
We made the final purchases for the learning center’s furniture earlier this week, which I’m very excited about. The blended learning center will have a very fun and hip feel to it. A lot of the pieces that we’ve ordered give the place a crazy-cool vibe, something that I think the students will really enjoy and is unlike anything else they’ve ever experienced at school.
I’m also pleased to announce that the building has officially been wired for Wi-Fi Internet access and our complete security system.
I mentioned last week that the periodic table of elements will be displayed on the floor of the science lab. We’ve decided to have that table water-jet onto the floor mats, adding another unique, user-friendly learning tool to center that I think the kids will be excited for.
Our creative design and marketing team at StrongMind is currently working on putting together a 3-D rendering of the building’s interior design that I’m hopefully we’ll be able to share with everyone very shortly.
We’re also continuing to capture footage from our time-lapse cameras inside the building of all the day-day construction progress we’ve made. That footage is actually being shown on the school’s official YouTube site, so I encourage everyone to check it out to get a more in-depth perspective of the build-out.
